Anthony Maguire

Anthony is a qualified Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor, Group Instructor and ITF International Taekwon-Do instructor with over 23 years of training in Taekwon-Do. Anthony still competes in Taekwon-Do at the highest level and is the 2019 ITFU - 70kg world champion.

The former social care worker turned gym owner created Thrive Fitness to help people of all ages and fitness levels achieve their goals, loose weigh, get stronger, faster, more powerful and increase their overall physical and mental health. Anthony takes great pride in Thrive and is constantly looking at ways of up grading the facilities for all to enjoy.

Introducing Cathal, our Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and All-Ireland-winning professional. With a BSC in Health and Leisure and pursuing an MSC in Strength and Conditioning at St. Mary's University, Twickenham, Cathal is not only a Reps Ireland Exercise Specialist but also a registered Strength and Conditioning Coach with ASCA

Cathal has left an indelible mark as the head Strength and Conditioning coach of the Cork U20 hurlers, guiding them to an All-Ireland victory. His influence extends to various GAA clubs, senior hurling, camogie, rugby, martial arts, adventure races, and more.

Cathal's versatility shines through as a Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Rebel Óg Academy in Cork. Whether working with elite athletes or diverse client bases, Cathal's commitment to enhancing performance is unwavering.

In addition to his sporting achievements, Cathal's holistic approach to wellness is evident. He advises on lifestyle and stress management, complementing his focus on tailored exercise programs. Cathal's multifaceted expertise makes him an integral part of our team, bridging the worlds of high-performance sports and overall well-being.

Aisling is a qualified personal trainer and fitness instructor. She is currently in her final year of college studying Physical Education in the University of Limerick. Coaching is a massive part of her life and she had the pleasure of working with many people to help them achieve their fitness goals. Aisling has a keen interest in woman's fitness and is currently coaching multiple women through fitness classes each week. Her coaching will equip you with the skills to become confident with the gym and Aisling will act as your guide to help you reach your fitness goals.

Hazel studied health and exercise science in WIT where she got her fitness instructor qualification. She loves working with people to improve their health and confidence. Hazel's special interests are in strength training for women and functional training for the older adult to help create an independent future.

Powerlifting is Hazel's sport and it's amazing to hear her daughters say they want to be strong, just like mommy!
